About the role

The Manager Investigations for Quality Assurance is responsible for managing all technical investigations related to accidents, incidents, Flight Turn back, In Flight Shut Down, flight diversion, Maintenance Error events, Suspected Unapproved Parts, Mechanical Interruptions and Technical & Mandatory occurrences.

Key responsibilities include:
• Planning, developing, defining and controlling the system that ensures investigations are carried out on all occurrences reported from Technical Operations team.
• Identifying the root causes and recommending corrective and preventive action for all occurrences.
• Developing the strategic vision for the section to achieve time bound results
• Managing and continuously improving the Quality Assurance Management Information Systems.
• Maintaining an active internal and external occurrence reporting system compliant with QCAA/EASA regulations, IOSA and ICAO requirements.
• Reporting of any abnormal issue to Quality Assurance (QA) management as part of ongoing Quality Assurance functions.
• Carrying out efficient investigations for accident/incident to address the root cause preventing further recurrence.
• Following-up and verifying implementation of recommendations for all investigations to enhance safety and minimize the cost impact.
• Reviewing technical occurrences/ Safety / Investigation related to queries from other sections/department or companies.
• Providing feedback to QA management on all investigations issues that requires to be addressed and communicated internally or externally.
• Reviewing regulatory updates and recommend changes to company procedures/ documents ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements at all times.
• Establishing the team’s objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant College or University qualification to minimum Bachelor’s level
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in the Continuing Airworthiness/ Maintenance organization environment/ Quality Assurance.
• Experience in Investigations/ Occurrences management within Continuing Airworthiness/ Maintenance organization.
• Completed training on Accident/ Incident investigations, QCAA/ EASA regulations, Auditing Techniques (Preferred)
• Conversant with use of computer applications like Trax, Microsoft Office, Airnav, Boeing toolbox etc.
• Good knowledge/understanding of regulatory requirements
• Excellent command of English language.
• Managerial leadership skills – able to delegate work, set clear direction to the tam and manage workflow.
